AFAM Offers Counseling, Safe Space in Light of Recent Events

In light of recent events that have occurred nationally, specifically the murders of Philando Castile, Alton Sterling, and the five Dallas Police Officers, the Department of African American Studies at VCU is providing opportunities for members of the VCU and greater Richmond community to process their thoughts and feelings in a safe space and supportive environment.
Licensed Clinical Psychologists and other support personnel will be at the Richmond Public Library main branch located at 101 East Franklin, East District Family Resource Center located at 2405 Jefferson Ave, and VCU Student Commons, 907 Floyd Ave.
Members of the Trauma Response Team will be available during the following times to individuals who would like the opportunity to debrief.
