Melissa Siebert earned her B.A. from Kent State University, where she majored in interdisciplinary studies with a focus in sociology, political science, philosophy and women’s studies. After working as an educator in Eastern Europe for two years, she returned to the U.S. and received a master's degree in intercultural and international management. She was employed in the nonprofit field for a number of years, organizing communities around issues of voting rights and the rights of the LGBTQIA community before returning to graduate school to earn a master's degree in counseling. She is the mother of two amazing boys and two adorable puppies.
